Creado para surfistas principiantes que desean comprar su primera tabla de surf sin quebrar la orilla. Los panes de espuma de EPS están pegados a un cordel central de madera, cortados a máquina y meticulosamente acabados a mano. Las barras de ratón se laminan con 6 onzas de fibra de vidrio antes de ser envueltas en una espuma protectora de IXPE en la cubierta superior y una capa de HDPE en la parte inferior. Tapones finos 100% herméticos e impermeables (Standard OS). Recomendado para niños y adultos con un peso no superior a 70 kg. Manejada con cuidado, la SERIE START UP ofrecerá a sus propietarios temporadas de placer!

You’re new to the world of surf but you’re motivated to advance with a board that is very versatile and evolutive. With a construction that combines foam with fiberglass, you can start doing manouvers and turns. By choosing a slightly smaller size or a SlimJim model (for the lighter and smaller surfers), the Start Up is also perfect for a more advanced surfer.

EPS foam blanks are bonded to a central wooden stringer, machine cut and meticulously hand finished. The blanks are then laminated with 6oz fibreglass before being wrapped with a protective IXPE foam on the top deck and an HDPE slick on the bottom.

We can generally base our choice of board size by looking at weight and height of the surfer. If you are a beginner surfer and…

- …you weigh between 15kg and 25kg with a height between 95cm and 125cm, we suggest to take a board between 5’0’’ and 6’6’’
- …you weigh between 25kg and 35kg with a height between 125cm and 140cm, we suggest to take a board between 6’0’’ and 7’0’’ (standard or SlimJim)
- …weigh between 35kg and 55kg with a height between 140cm and 165cm, we suggest to take a board between 7’0’’ (standard or SlimJim) and 8’0’’.
- …you weigh between 55kg and 65kg with a height between 160cm and 175cm, we suggest to take a board between 7’6’’ and 8’0’’
- …you are heavier and/or taller than the above mentioned, we suggest to opt for the model Back to School (link)

If you weigh less than average, we suggest to choose the SlimJim model. It is slightly less wide and therefore has a bit less volume than the standard model.

If you weigh more than average, we suggest to opt for the model Back to School. This model is generally more robust than the Start Up model.

If you are a more advanced surfer, you can choose a board that is slightly smaller (one size smaller) than the one suggested.

To add: In order to not loose any time and to make sure that you have everything you need for your next surf, you might want to add the following to your board :
- Fins (included)
- Leash
- Wax
- Traction pad : you don’t need to add a traction pad to the Softboard. Only add a layer of wax to get some extra grip.
