You’re new to the world of surf but you’re motivated to advance with a board that is very versatile and evolutive. With a construction that combines foam with fiberglass, you can start doing manouvers and turns. By choosing a slightly smaller size or a SlimJim model (for the lighter and smaller surfers), the Back to School is also perfect for a more advanced surfer.

We can generally base our choice of board size by looking at weight and height of the surfer. If you are a beginner surfer and…

• • …you weigh between 15kg and 25kg with a height between 95cm and 125cm, we suggest to take a board between 5’0’’ and 6’6’’
  • …you weigh between 25kg and 35kg with a height between 125cm and 140cm, we suggest to take a board between 6’0’’ and 7’0’’ (standard or SlimJim or BigBoy)
  • …weigh between 35kg and 55kg with a height between 140cm and 165cm, we suggest to take a board between 7’0’’ (standard or SlimJim or BigBoy) and 8’0’’.
  • …you weigh between 55kg and 65kg with a height between 160cm and 175cm, we suggest to take a board between 7’6’’ and 8’0’’ (standard or SlimJim or BigBoy)
  • …you weigh between 65kg et 75kg with a height between 170cm and 180cm, we suggest a board between 8’0’’ et 9’0’’
  • …you are heavier and/or taller than the above mentioned, we suggest a board between 8’0’’ and 9’0’’ BigBoy

If you weigh less than average, we suggest to choose the SlimJim model. It is slightly less wide and therefore has a bit less volume than the standard model.

If you weigh more than average, we suggest to choose the BigBoy model. It is slightly wider and has more volumen than the standard mode.

If you are a more advanced surfer, you can choose a board that is slightly smaller (one size smaller) than the one suggested.

HQ EPS blanks are laminated with a full layer of 6oz fiberglass plus an additional 6oz fiberglass spine on the top deck.

The series features 2 x wooden stringers running from nose to tail as well as EVA tail blocks. 100% sealed and waterproof fin plugs (OS standard).

Built in carry handles for easy handling as well as nose area go-pro fixations.

  • Fins (included)
  • Leash
  • Wax 
  • Traction pad : you don’t need to add a traction pad to the Softboard. Only add a layer of wax to get some extra grip.
